Custom Pool Build Excavation Complete and Taking Shape image

Excavation is done, and this backyard is starting to look like something real. The hole is in the ground, the shape is defined, and you can already get a sense of just how impressive this pool is going to be. That moment when dirt and machinery give way to clean walls and defined geometry - it's one of our favorite parts of the process.

Before we move forward with plumbing and rebar, we pull a geotechnical report. It sounds technical, and honestly it is - but what it really means is that we're not guessing about what's underground. Soil composition, load-bearing capacity, groundwater conditions - all of it gets factored into how we build. That report protects the finished product for decades.

Next up is the plumbing and rebar infrastructure. This is the skeleton of the pool. The plumbing layout determines where every return, drain, and feature sits. The rebar cage gives the shell its structural strength. Getting both of these right is non-negotiable, and they have to be done in the correct sequence. We take our time here because rushing this phase creates problems that are expensive to fix later.

Custom pool builds like this one are a serious investment, and every step matters. We don't cut corners on the groundwork just to get to the glamorous stuff faster. The finished pool is only as good as what you can't see once it's full of water - and we build accordingly.

There's a long way to go before this backyard is finished, but the foundation is set. Step by step, this one is going to be worth the wait.
